Where I Talk About Myself My name is Claudette and I'm a 27 year old living in Northern Kentucky. I live with my boyfriend and we've been together for over 6 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting that I obtained in 2004. However, I don't use it anymore. After I graduated, I had Accounting jobs and then changed fields into the more finance/stock sect. After a year of that, I had to make a change. I started working from home and over a year and a half later, I can say that it's been the best thing for me.
I consider myself creative. Arts and crafts are something that I've always enjoyed doing. Currently, I have about 10 different projects that I'm working on. My crafting room is a bit of a disaster! :) I love to crochet, paint, draw, and sew. I also love to reuse other items to make new ones. I've been trying harder to really focus on recycling and reusing items and so I'm able to do that in my crafting as well as the rest of my life.
I also love movies and television shows. I have a huge DVD collection that just keeps growing. It's come to the point that the 6ft tall bookcase that we have been using to hold them just isn't enough. I have a few favorite movies (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fifth Element, Chocolat, The Big Lebowski, Half Baked, and The Wedding Singer). When it comes to TV shows, some of my favorites aren't new to TV anymore (Roseanne, Will & Grace, In Living Color, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Voyager). My other favorites are Deadliest Catch, Lockup (on MSNBC), The Daily Show, Nip/Tuck, Family Guy, Medium, Scrubs and Heroes).
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Most of the music I have now is digital. I have a few CDs that are sentimental to me and those are housed in one of those big CD binders. When it comes to the amount of music, I don't even know. I have a 40 GB mp3 player and a 30 GB mp3 player, plus I have a lot of music that are backed up on data disks because I didn't have room for them. The type of music I listen to is very eclectic. I listen to everything from country to techno. I guess that's why I have so much music. When it comes to my favorite bands or artists, I would have to say that Nirvana was always one of my favorites, if not the favorite. Over the years, I started listening to different types of music and it's hard to pick just one artist or band. Currently I'm listening to the Once soundtrack. That was also a great movie.
My journal is set to Friends Only because my mother and sister finally started being more active on this series of tubes and I didn't want my family to really read what I wrote. I only have a few friends from the real world that read this journal. I tend to vent and I didn't want to hurt my family's feelings if I happened to be in a bad mood one day. If you do add me to your Friends list, I ask that you go to my Friends Only entry (linked to on the right) and leave me a comment so that I know you added me as I don't always check my Friend Of list. | Links to Things |
